Randomize Steps(Data) Module In Grid – Bitwig Forum

i feel like you want to have “some” visual represantion (maybe im reading too much into your question). but for that the offered solutions might not be what you want. maybe you could use the gates (data) module instead of steps. this way you could still see the steps and turn em on and off. now to get random values for each step, you just plug the gates module into a dice (random) module and now each step in the gates module that is turned on gives you a random value out of the dice module. for all steps that are off, the dice module will hold the last generated value it created while receiving the last gate. hope i didnt completely miss your question.
