RabbitMQ Upgrade – Queries on compatibility matrix

Are there any way to upgrade the RabbitMQ to the latest version without going to intermediate version installation?

I understand that there is a compatibility issues when jumping from lower version to last recent RabbitMQ version.

From our customer point of view, this is overhead to them for manually upgrading from one version to another version.

And there is a need of upgradation to avoid Vulnerability issues at customer places.

For example if our product released with 3.8.X version of RabbitMQ then if the customer has to migrate to 3.12.x, then they need to do the

4 uninstallation and installation. This is really a overhead to our valuable customers.

3.11.18  3.12.x  All feature flags must be enabled before the upgrade

3.10.x  3.11.x  Some feature flags must be enabled before the upgrade

3.9.x  3.10.x

3.8.x  3.9.x

Since there is a chance of having data in queues and other user configuration we cannot go for deleting the RabbitMQ DB folder option also.

So here our request/Query is,

Any easy option to overcome this intermediate upgrade?

Any API endpoints available to restore the RabbitMQ data from older versions to the latest version which will internally handle required data conversion?

If not, are there any suggestions to overcome this kind of intermediate installation from your side?

Thanks,

Niveddha
