pulseaudio – Sound card config causes videos to freeze
I have a System 76 Meerkat with 12th Gen Intel Core I7, with 32 gb memory Intel GRaphics (ADL GT2). Running Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS- Wayland. For quite some time I have noticed that videos freeze, while audio continues to play. I have discovered the temporary solution is to open PulseAudio Volume control configuration tab, and toggle the onboard “Built In Audio” from Analog Stereo Output to Analog Stereo Duplex and back to Analog Stereo Output. This has to be done after every reboot of the system or the videos will freeze, while the audio continues to play. Anyone have any idea what causes to strange issue? I keep hoping that this will be fixed with every kernel upgrade, but doesn’t.
