I’ve been using the Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 for years. The preamps are pretty well-regarded and are decent enough for what I do. However I just recently heard about the Behringer Flow 8 as I’ve been looking for something affordable that will let me run things through it without a PC. The Flow 8 has LOTS of useful features, but I’ve found less on its preamps (the Behringer X32 pre’s apparently).

Has anyone used both the Flow 8 & some Scarlett model to be able to compare both?

Additionally, while both premps might be solid, any recommendations on external preamps that aren’t that expensive but could be an improvement on either are welcome.
