pi 3b+ – Help Raspberry Pi 3B Plus- won’t boot to desktop after connecting i2c device to pins 27 and 28
I have a Raspberry Pi model 3B Plus. I was configuring it to use the I2c as SMbus to communicate with a device. I had everything set up correctly but connected my device to pins 27 and 28, which appears to be the i2c for Hat eeprom. I’m not really sure why this error would have been such a problem. It did appear as though the green light acted funny and may have went dim, although nothing was overpowered. It rebooted after automatically and when it got to the rainbow screen the HDMI connection cuts out but the pie itself seems to act normal. Both red and green light seem to function fine and it doesn’t seem to be flashing out any codes or errors that I can identify. I tested the voltages on both 3.3 and 5 volt Rail and everything is spot on. There appears to be around 3 volts on pin 27 and 28. Can someone please help me out give me an idea what may have happened? They flashed a new SD card and same issue I don’t know if the bootloader got corrupted or an eprom somewhere or maybe the bus is damaged in some way?? I’m not exactly a pro when it comes to Raspberry Pi. It’s just puzzling I can’t seem to find anything close to my experience through research. Please help give me some idea of what may have went wrong, when I could do next? I can troubleshoot the hardware they’re testing and can repair electronics but I’m not even sure where to start Hardware or software.
