Outdated nginx version. | DigitalOcean

I just created a Ubuntu 20.04 droplet and after following the initial setup and LEMP tutorial I noticed that nginx is on version 1.18.0, when the newest mainline version is 1.21.5. I’m wondering if there is any benefit of running a newer version. After playing around with the newer version and following some tutorials, I’m finding that the newer version has some different configuration setups, that have been causing me a few headache to track down solutions.
