operating system – My problem in importing vdi into VirtualBox
I have used dd tool to import my bin file into a virtual disk on win11. However, when I tried to import this disk into VirtualBox, it displays a string of error codes:
Failed to open the virtual disk file D:\OSCode\Turing-OS\Turing-OS.vdi.
Could not get the storage format of the medium 'D:\OSCode\Turing-OS\Turing-OS.vdi' (VERR_NOT_SUPPORTED).
Return Code: VBOX_E_IPRT_ERROR (0x80bb0005)
Result Detail: -37 (0xffffffdb)
Component: MediumWrap
Interface: IMedium {7d510820-a678-4730-a862-818dcd3fbed0}
Callee: IVirtualBox {2ce10519-3c09-45d8-a12d-e887786146b7}
Callee RC: VBOX_E_OBJECT_NOT_FOUND (0x80bb0001)
The path is correct because I imported it by clicking the figures of my file explorer. Help me!
I’ve tried to re-establish a new disk but it still fails. I don’t know what I can do now. That’s a bit abstract for me.
