OneAPI Installation Error (Code 2003) & Fortran Missing in Visual Studio

Hi everyone,

I’m struggling to set up Fortran with Intel oneAPI Base Toolkit 2025.0.1.48 in Visual Studio Community 2022 (Version 17.12.4) on a new laptop. Despite prior experience, I’m hitting a roadblock during the OneAPI installation and need advice. Here’s the issue:

Problem Summary

  1. Installation Error:

    • During OneAPI installation, I get an error: “Execution of …\VSIXInstaller.exe failed with exit code 2003” 

    • The installer fails twice, leading to “Sequence execution failed.”
