Well, according to the developer himself, Thorn is ‘a thoroughly modern synth for making next-generation sounds… designed for punchy, snappy, and aggressive sounds that leap out at the listener.’ So, if we go by that definition, its strongest side should be sharp and edgy sounds.
However, I like challenges,so I’d probably take a Ferrari to a rally. Just because a synth is designed for something doesn’t mean it can’t shine in unexpected ways 🙂
