I have both, and they are not the same thing, at least for me. I disagree on the mastering part, that’s almost all I used Soothe2 for. For targeted processing and not pushing it more than a few dB, I got great results with it. It’s been all over my client projects since its release.

I think Finesse is great too, and there are times when I definitely prefer it over Soothe. To me, these tools are just like limiters. As hard as they try not to have any sound signature at all, they still have one….
