I’ve been very happy for over a year using Wavekit, which is not free but onlhy €20.00 for ten hours of hosting or €100 for 100 hours. You can share wav or mp3 links (you can only upload wavs or other lossess formats; it does the mp3 coversions “in house”), and there is no advertising or other garbage whatsoever, which is exactly what I was looking for.
