My usual response to this question is to direct the user to the Handbook. However, in this case, the Handbook does not actually mention the answer (as far as I can see).

Go to Format / Style / Lyrics / Edit lyrics text style (at the top). Here is the place where you can set font, font size, style, alignment, etc. for the lyrics. Notice that there are two sets of lyrics settings: one for “odd lines”, another for “even lines”. MOST of the time, you’ll want them to be the same.

Do be aware, however, that the default size of the lyrics text is already pretty small.

I do recommend that every new (or “new-ish” 🙂 user take an hour or two and simply read the entire Handbook. Don’t try to memorize it! Just skim through it and familiarize yourself with the contents! But read it all!!! Then you’ll have an idea where to find things when issues come up in the future. “Didn’t I see something about that in the Handbook?”
