New nvme ssd, installing arch linux, can’t boot in uefi

So i upgraded my hard drive to a larger one, i’m doing a fresh arch linux install however i can’t get my bios to power the hard drive in uefi

I did much of arch installation via legacy boot hoping i could then link the boot manager to the hdd and it would get power however even after setting BOOTx64.EFI as a boot device on the hard drive, the drive is not detected when i boot from uefi

Note: i’m booting from a USB installation medium

Now i’m wondering if that’s not even the issue. Appreciate the help thanks
