Precisely. I’ve got tons of things both hardware and software, and innumerable methods I’ve developed over more than 60 years for mangling any sound up, including manual editing (which I love), but this when used to give things ‘just a kiss’ of variation, really shines… then, ‘rinse and repeat’… then, ‘rinse and repeat’. etc., etc., etc.. 😉

I do that a lot with recording very slight adjustments while running/recording percussive (predominately) stuff into my Roland Scoopers. Saving it…
