MuseScore 4 development video – Forum

there’s been such a fuss about this (after watching quite a bit of this video), I actually installed it this morning. It didn’t last long. Muse Play is fascinating but there are so many issues of dynamics (especially on faster notes which are often smudged), distortion and plain weirdness that it’s a long way from being ready for prime time in the real world even if there are one or two quite impressive carefully made demos with it. I’ll stick with Dorico and “real” libraries such as Cinematic Studio for orchestral. Give it a couple of years of setting down, though and there could be serious competition for the big boys. Dorico won’t stay still though and Finale and Sibelius have such a huge base that they will also not be too quick to expire.
