Minifreak 49, what’s next? – Hardware (Instruments and Effects) Forum

I’d remind to the points that neither the plugin nor a standard controller could deliver:
The 7×7 touch matrix/preset browser/xyz-controller.
MPE / MIDI 2.0.

MiniFreak is a very performative concept. And performance depends on accessibility. On MF49 development that obviously had priority. To “feel” as much of the sound sculpting as possible.
But i think, it could be even more accessible.
A well built desktop MF with a surface which is well balanced between small size/direct access, and can receive MPE, or even more.., combined with a (MPE) keybed of your choice.

Additional question:
Most of Arturia’s software products have MPE support, why the MiniFreak V does not?
