Microchip to Showcase RISC-V Solutions at RISC-V Summit
Microchip will be demonstrating its FPGA solutions for the intelligent edge at the upcoming RISC-V Summit. The company leverages the RISC-V ISA to design heterogeneous processing architectures for non-proprietary instruction set architectures. This enables flexible caches, asymmetric processing, real-time applications, and inferencing for AI/ML. Microchip’s FPGA platforms are suitable for a range of applications, including industrial, communications, medical, automotive, IoT, aviation, and defense. These platforms offer flexibility, power, security, and thermal efficiency in harsh environmental conditions.
Microchip’s software design tools include High-Level Synthesis (HLS) for C/C++ implementation, Software Development Kits (SDKs) for vector-based processing, and solution stacks for industrial automation and intelligent machine vision. The company will be joined by BeagleBoard, showcasing its hardware and other solutions that complement Microchip’s extensive Mi-V Ecosystem at the event.
Microchip’s representatives will also be participating in keynote and technical sessions at the summit. Keynote presentations will cover topics such as intelligent edge innovations with RISC-V, while technical sessions will focus on accelerating designs for SoC FPGA using simplified high-level synthesis flows. Member Day sessions will cover the future direction of RISC-V cryptography extensions and provide an introduction to the RISC-V 101 Ecosystem.
