Messed up the disk with LVM – cannot boot Centos 7
I had a VM with /boot on sda1 and lvm group on sda2. I’ve resized the disk and tried to resize the LVM to gain some space for the /var directory. I tried to use the disks utility and create a partition on the free space shown. It said it could not be done. After I wanted to reboot, the system wouldn’t start at all. It looks like I messed up the partition table trying to make the partition in a wrong way. Can I recover the partition? I planned to use the Rescue CD to fix it, or at least get the data, but I am not sure what actually happened. After playing with the disk utility, data was there, I did not do anything with the sda1/2, so I hope that I did not lose the data.
