Mapping xml nodes with text containing HTML tags to plain text via fasterxml XmlMapper

I have following problem:

I have an XML file that I have to convert to JSON.

Unfrotunatelly one of XMLS that I recieved recently looked like this:

<event>
    <created>2023-05-17 00:55:12</created>
    <number>190726<a>Link1</a>1043vfDP</number>
    <container>
        <id>217040636</id>
        <company_name>company2 <a>Link1</a> nameGAlj</company_name>
    </container>
</event

which gives me following JSON for number:

    "number": {
        "a": "Link1",
        "value": [
            "190726",
            "1043vfDP"
        ]
    }

is there some specific way to make FasterXML interpret such nodes as “plain text”

and give me something like this: "number":"190726<a>Link1</a>1043vfDP"
