linux – Problem rebooting after upgrading to Pop!_OS 22.04: left at grub prompt
Following
www.reddit.com/r/pop_os/comments/vd7fs4/trying_to_upgrade_to_2204_but_i_keep_getting_this/
I manually upgraded to Pop!_OS 22.04 (based un Ubuntu 22.04) using:
sudo apt clean
sudo apt update -m
sudo dpkg –configure -a
sudo apt install -f
sudo apt dist-upgrade
sudo apt autoremove –purge
After restart, I was left at the grub prompt.
I entered exit (twice!) and the system started fine.
I suspect this is caused by me answering “Y” to several questions regarding *.conf files during the installation.
How could I recover the previous starting up?
I have a double boot with windows, although have never used it and the option to select OS was actually not presented.
