I found a bug with Kontakt 8 inside of Cubase 15 (I have not tried it with other DAWs). It does not occur with versions of Kontakt 5-7. I have been able to recreate this bug every time I have tried it. These are the steps that create Kontakt 8 to glitch out and crash Cubase (follow each step exactly):

1) Load project in Cubase 15 and create 2 or more instances of Kontakt 8 (this does not occur with older versions of Kontakt).

2) Open the 2 or more instances of Kontakt 8 so the ui is showing for each instance (has to be at least 2 ui’s showing/open – 1 instance does not cause the crash).

3) In the open Kontakt 8 instances, exit out of the content browser in the top right of each instance of Kontakt 8 without exiting the ui (at least 2 need to be open).

4) Open another program outside of Cubase 15 (word, chrome, etc.). Doesn’t really matter the program since it occurs with everyone I have tried so far.

5) Go back to Cubase 15 and you will see the Kontakt 8 instances glitching in and out and Cubase eventually crashes.

I have adjusted every possible setting you can imagine in Cubase and in Kontakt (asio guard, multiprocessor settings, etc.). I have adjusted my RME Fireface UFX II interface settings. I have reinstalled drivers for my interface. I have changed windows 11 audio settings. Nothing has stopped this bug from happening.

If anyone has any other ideas on how to solve this, I would love some input. I will submit a support ticket, but navigating their support has not been super helpful in the past.
