Is it possible to improve Control Switch latency?

I’m playing lead guitar in an AOR band where I every now and then are playing short solo fills in between the vocals.
And instead of switching back and forth to a separate solo scene everytime this happens, I’ve set up a Per Preset foot switch to do a momentary Control Switch.
This Control Switch:

  • turns on the boost switch in the amp block
  • activates a separate delay block
  • activates a separate PEQ block with a slight bump on 2KHz

The good thing with this is that I can stay in my dirty rythm scene all the time and just keep the switch pressed over the fills when it’s needed.

The only problem Iv’e found with this solution is that it takes almost a second for the Control Switch to do theese three thing.
This is pretty disturbing as I then always have to be a bit ahead fith the switch before the fills.
The Control Switch turns off immediately when the foot switch is released so there’s only latency when I turn it on.

Anybody that has a clue on how to reduce the latency or maybe achieve the same momentary switch thing in a different manner?
