Inventor imports wrong names of Kicad step files

Hi, I am facing a strange import behavior in Inventor 2025.2.1.

When I import a Kicad step file with specific components like lightpipes in Inventor, Inventor overwrites the provided designation with numbers.

The goal is to get the right names of the Kicad components into the imported step file.

The names are right if I import the step file in a 3D viewer like Mayo or 3DConnexion Viewer.

It’s clear a Inventor problem and occurs on all Kicad step files.

I already tried with the import settings.
