IK FAME Reverb question (in: Effects)

Okay so the FAME reverb from IK’s T-RackS suite is one of my go to’s because I simply love the chamber and the plate reverb in there.
Today I fooled around with the Studio A Reverb and solo’ed one of the mono room mics only to realize that these aren’t mono but stereo.
why are they called mono1 and mono2 ??? not sure I understand. – I’m not opposed to them being stereo (I actually was pleasantly surprised) but at least an option to make them mono would be cool I think.
