How to temporarily re-enable a disabled Visual Studio Enterprise Subscription to backup Azure Cosmos DB.
SITUATION:
My Visual Studio Enterprise Subscription – MPN is currently disabled.
I need to backup my Cosmos DB data before migrating to a lower-cost architecture.
WHAT I NEED:
Can Azure Support temporarily re-enable my subscription for 1 day (24 hours)
so I can run automated backup scripts?
DETAILS:
- Subscription ID: 9f316b04-5a03-40d5-ac2d-581c52426192
- Subscription Type: Visual Studio Enterprise Subscription – MPN
- Current Cosmos DB Account: air-cosmos-prod-db (West US 2)
- Resource Group: air_rg
COST OPTIMIZATION REQUEST:
We are currently spending ₹13,600/month for 35 containers with provisioned
throughput model. We need to reduce this with less pricing/month while supporting
100+ containers.
Which Cosmos DB pricing model would be most cost-effective for our needs?
- Serverless (pay-per-use)
- Shared Throughput (shared RU/s across containers)
- Other options?
Please recommend the most economical approach and estimated monthly cost
for each option.
Thank you for your help.
