How to see / play program changes in imported midi clips – Bitwig Forum

I have a bunch of .mid files that contain note and program change information. When I drag them into Bitwig to play as a clip, the notes play but the instrument selector isn’t responding to program change events. I know that the instrument selector is configured properly because I can trigger it from an external sequencer.

It seems like Bitwig isn’t playing the program change events that are embedded in the midi clip. I’m also not sure of a way to view them.

How can I see the program change events in a midi clip – and more importantly, how can they be played so that they trigger the instrument selector the way an external sequencer does?
