Hide tracks in Edit view but not Mixer View and vice versa (in: Tracktion)

Might it be a solution for you to do the following?
Add to your track which I name “start-from-here-track” the plugin and when asked for this detail choose “Create multi-out wrapper in submix”. Then, after all the tracks have been created and grouped in a submix, select only the “start-from-here-track” in that submix and for this one call function “unpack selected tracks from folder”.
