I use Reason and if it need A:B:Z comparisons, I use a switch that lets me feed all the signals I want to compare (audio tracks, compressors on the same synth etc) this is like a mixer only has chooser buttons for straight this:that switching.
In theory, any DAW could do this BUT most have complexities in routing once you get past the usual suspects. You need to know your DAW as towhatyou can/can’t do easily. If there is a matrix or sandpit plugin space, that will probably be your path.
