Guitar Tab VST Instrument – Instruments Forum

Ah, so looking at Guitar Pro 7, not exactly what I’m thinking. The idea is more like this:

1. In your DAW, you write out “notes” in Piano roll. Let’s say A3, A#3, B3.
2. Notes get read by the plugin. You’d map midi note A3 to tab 1, A#3 to tab 2, and B3 to tab 3, etc.
3. The plugin would output the transformed midi notes back to your DAW for you to do whatever you want with them.

After writing this out, I guess what I’m envisioning would be more of a midi effect rather than an instrument.

It looks like Guitar Pro 7 is where you compose everything, I’m looking for something a little more lightweight.
