google cloud platform – GCP Prometheus target metrics

Prometheus metrics have been added to my project in Google Cloud Platform. These metrics are both default from the SpringBoot application and custom. In the Metrics explorer when I select a Prometheus target none of the metrics have a description although in the Prometheus file the metrics description is available. Is it possible to fix this somehow?

I don’t see any information on how to fix this despite the fact that descriptions are added when registering metrics using MeterRegistry
