Gear and mastering chains used on early Kompakt ambient releases? (in: Production Technique…)

I’m curious if anyone has any insight into what kind of gear and approaches to mastering were being used on early Kompakt releases, especially the ambient side with artists like Dettinger, Markus Guentner, Novisad, Wolfgang and Reinhardt Voigt, Jörg Burger, etc.

I haven’t been able to find much information about what kind of gear these guys were using, apart from the interview with Wolfgang Voigt where he talks about his preferred Roland samplers. Markus Guentner has given plenty of interviews…
