Are you serious? Why? Now some of my projects sound completely different, because the fret position has significant influence on the tone and I use it for this specific reason quite regularly. This most certainly is a stark regression to the older versions.

Edit: Here’s my reasoning, why this change makes no sense: Let’s say I have a 8 bar melody and the first note is low enough, so that it can be played on fret position 0, but then the melody goes so high that the fret psoition is changed to 1…
