In REAPER if you want a simple gain plugin that doesn’t produce zipper noise when automated, you can create one yourself. Open the effects browser, click on “FX” and choose “Create new JS FX,” then give it a name. REAPER will automatically generate a sample-accurate gain plugin for you. You can then edit the dB range in the code. However, if that is too technical for you, then here is a simple gain plugin with extra features:
