ffmpeg only copying some available audio tracks (-map 0:a -c:a copy)
I’m trying to get ffmpeg to copy all of the available audio streams that are part of an IPTV package provided by my ISP.
Unfortunately, the ffmpeg output just refuses to copy all audio streams and instead sometimes only provides one, maybe two audio streams.
Here are the ffmpeg options I’m using:
-hide_banner -loglevel error -analyzeduration 1000000 -probesize 1000000 -i [URL] -map 0:v -map 0:a -c:v copy -c:a copy -f mpegts -fflags +genpts -movflags +faststart -copyts pipe:1
For example, when I open the source m3u directly in VLC, I can choose between four different audio tracks:
However, when I open the same channel in VLC, once the stream has gone through ffmpeg with the options posted above, only a single audio track remains:
In other cases, of the available six audio tracks only two service the trip through ffmpeg:
What’s going on here? ffmpeg is obviously copying more than one audio tracks on some channels. Yet ffmpeg is not copying all available tracks.
