Famous E sample clipping (in: Orange Tree Samples)

I currently use the famous E piano samples in kontakt player with an e-mu x-board 49 and plug in sustain pedal. I find at default the samples are peaking/clipping (hitting the red). Is it a matter of the velocity curve from the x-board itself or are there tweaks in kontakt I should be aware of? I use reason studios as my DAW of choice and don’t issues with other vsts or any of reason’s built in rack instruments.
