I usually hold down the note in the main playing range and then quickly alternate the down and upstroke strum/repeat keys to get tremolo. It’s really something you have to record from a MIDI keyboard to get the natural timing/velocity variation–sequencing it note by note would require a ton of tweaking.

We’ve added a new feature in the upcoming update that allows you to add random variance to the pick position, so when the update is out, that setting will help add more variation for tremolo picking.

I’ll also need to look into adding a MIDI-based tremolo articulation to the available articulations, maybe giving you control over the dynamic while the tremolo is playing via a MIDI CC in case you want the tremolo to swell in/out for example.
