Emulations we are still missing?

That depends if you are looking for quantity or quality.

If you want quantity, check out — to this day — all the existing clones out there, there are probably “emulations” of most analog synthesizer models ever made. Some better, some worse.

But if you want quality and an emulation that really nails the original, I´d say we are still missing every original analog synth ever made.

I quickly flicked through 17 pages of this topic and still nobody is stating the obvious, that there is still no VST emulation that 100% captures a real analog synth.

Yeah, right, I´ve heard all the arguments on KvR for years, and you can repeat them again here if you like — this is KvR after all — but I´ve yet to find a VST emulation of a hardware analog synth that nails the original, sorry. The VST-industry has come a long way, alright, but has still a long way to go.
