dual boot – grub-install fails at the end of ubuntu 22.04 installation on a UEFI based HP PROBOOK with preinstalled WINDOWS 11

I am trying to install (DUAL BOOT) UBUNTU 22.04 LTS on my UEFI based HP PROBOOK with preinstalled WINDOWS 11.

grub-install fails at the end of ubuntu 22.04 installation.

Grub install fails with NO SPACE LEFT ON DEVICE ERROR while copying ” /usr/lib/grub/x86_64-efi-signed/grubx64.efi.signed’ to `/boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu/grubx64.efi”

Snapshot from boot-repair paste-bin log:

“grub-install: error: cannot copy /usr/lib/grub/x86_64-efi-signed/grubx64.efi.signed' to /boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu/grubx64.efi’: No space left on device”

NOTE:

  • I have allocated around 200GB of SSD space for ubuntu
  • I used RUFUS to create a bootable USB drive with GPT & UEFI settings
  • I created /boot partition as well
  • The HP notebook is brand new
  • I had disabled SECURE-BOOT, FAST-BOOT options in BIOS settings
  • I ran boot-repair after the installation failed

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,
Sudhish
