A few modern additions might be useful here as well: JUCE is still a big one, but iPlug2, CMake, GitHub Actions, pluginval, and CLAP are probably worth mentioning for anyone starting today.

For open-source reference projects, looking through real plugin code on GitHub can be extremely helpful too, especially for seeing how people structure DSP, GUI, parameter handling, and cross-platform builds in practice.
