Drum synthesis plugins – where are we at in 2026? – Page 2 – Instruments Forum

I like some of Tekno’s sound engines, but don’t like others. Their kick drum engine is great. Can be super punchy or pillow soft. It can have a big, EDM-style smack attack, or be nice and rounded. It can be bright or dark. It can be an 808 or acoustic simulated kick. Their cymbals and snares, on the other hand, are not great. The snare can either be, ugh, filtered white noise or just tonal, almost like conga. I hope they open it up more for tweaking and improve some of oscillators and filters.
