Do you hate the looks Windows 10/11 – WindowBlinds might be the solution, look like Mac or anything – Page 12 – Computer Setup and System Configuration Forum
In my case, on Windows 10 Pro (after years of dual-booting with various Linux distros and gleaning ideas from various desktop environments) this is what makes Windows more palatable for me:
OneCommander as a replacement for the file explorer
Stardock’s Start10 or Start11 as the replacement for the Start menu
No icons on the desktop, and small icons in the taskbar
“Date & Time” from the Microsoft Store for a desktop clock
“Twinkle Tray” from the Microsoft Store for controlling the brightness of my external monitor
Otherwise, after every update I check to make sure Skype, Copilot, and a few other things have not been reinstalled.
Hoping to leave Windows in the dust sometime in the next year, though.
