Preamps makes the most difference, than if you get HiZ on a separate device or in interface.
– a medium quality di would just make sound suffer
Whatever you want from outside world into computer get the best you can afford in preamps, you will not regret it.
I would go for Apollo, hands down.
Not that RME is bad, not just having that extra that makes your jaw drop.
Many pros use like an Avalon U5 or Reddi DI Box
