Desert D is a stereo dimension chorus plugin for Mac and PC: two bucket-brigade delay lines swept in opposite directions that make a sound wider without making it wobble.

Four mode buttons, pressed alone or together, set how far and how fast the lines sweep: fifteen shades, from barely-there width to a big, obvious spread. A compander around each line and an output matrix that cross-feeds the channels in anti-phase put the effect between the speakers, and it folds cleanly away when the mix is summed to mono.

Below the front unit, a lower panel adds RATE, DEPTH, SHAPE and TIME trims, tempo sync, four LFO waves, WIDTH past the speakers, DOUBLE for two units in series, AGE and NOISE for a worn line, AUTO GAIN and 1×, 2× or 4× oversampling, every one resting at the front unit’s own setting.
