Unless it’s a great deal then I think that there are better options out there for filtering than FF or UVI. If you are good with automation or have a flexible host like Bitwig, then you can do amazing stuff with almost any filter, even simple freeware. There are also options like cableguys filtershaper or Xfer LFO tool. Even the waves metafilter is pretty fun and cheap as dirt on sale.

If you need an awesome synth and crazy filters then you could pick up a second hand Zebra 2 license which comes with Zebrify, the effect version with all the filters and FX of full zebra.

I’d recommend doing a giant demo weekend of all the big names of filters before you lock onto a single one or two.
