convert program change to cc value ? – Bitwig Forum

I read your post and did some experimenting of my own and I have come to the same conclusion as you – there seems to be no way to edit or consume (w/ bitwig devices) MIDI Program Change messages – you can only send them w/ the identically-named Device. Program change In / Out would be a nice grid module.

It also seems that we’re stuck w percent-based value changes on any knob where Bitwig can’t have conclusive insight into the type of its source parameter (macros, CC knobs controlling other devices, etc.). The quantize modulator could normally help out at least a little bit here, but after some experimentation it doesn’t seem possible to use it to quantize a percentage-based parameter knob to a # of steps that is over 100. Which is kinda silly bc even though its 1-100 percent there are much more than 100 possible values the knob can land on since bitwig seems to use at least two decimal points on the % values).
