concurrency – Cross-platform syncronization of Node.js processes

There are multiple ways to mistakenly multiple times start a Node.js instance to run some script. How would one prevent race conditions between those script executions, and between Node.js OS processes in other cases?

Im struggling to find any operation which can be done from Node.js and provides: OS-wise state, and ability to update the state, as atomic operation. Be it a callable console app or other. Are there functionalities which i can use to synchronize the processes within Windows and Termux?
