Change gate lengths in Note Grid – Bitwig Forum

Hi guys, I am trying to create a step sequencer in Note Grid where gate inputs are modulated with the “Steps” modulator inside which I am able to randomize values being sent to the “Value” module, essentially making a random note generator. The issue is, I would like to modify the gate length that is outputted, and by using the “Gate length” module, the consecutive gate signals are being “swallowed” when the original gate signal is longer than the gate signal following it. The sound produced is a sustained note rather than multiple very long notes (I also want the gate signal to stop being output once the transport is also not playing).

What should I add so that the original gate signals remain regardless of the gate length that is currently in memory? Thanks!
