Celemony Melodyne 5 Essentials – impossible to activate (in: Effects)

First of all, this seems to be neither a computer nor OS related issue – therefore I’m posting it here in Effects, hoping somebody out there has experience this and been able to resolve the issue.
And yes, I am in contact with Ulf from Celemony. And while he sure is being responsive and trying to help .. sadly, we are getting nowhere.
It makes no difference if I’m trying to activate on Windows or macOS – my previous machine was a Windows 11 setup running Melodyne 5 essentials for a long time, …
