Can't add warp time editor to an audio clip. (in: Tracktion)

Yes, I’m using ver 12.5.21. Yes, ‘warp time’ is an option under ‘time/pitch’ when you select ‘add clip effect’ after right clicking the clip’s top bar. When I select ‘warp time’ this way, the clip doesn’t change colour and doesn’t become the warp time editing version of the clip. (Nothing happens; the clip remains as before.) It must be something to do with the one specific clip, because other clips in the project can have warp time applied, with no issues.
