Can’t “activate” xubuntu desktop for ubuntu server on raspberry pi 5

I followed the guide of the ufficial Ubuntu website to install a Desktop for my Ubuntu Server running on Raspberry Pi, so I did this:

sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade

and then

sudo apt install xubuntu-desktop

and lastly, as it was said, run

sudo reboot

and according to the guide, the “new desktop will come up automatically”. But it did not: the connection with Raspberry pi was broken of course, and when reconnecting I still couldn’t see any desktop…
Did I do something wrong?
